Beans & Flavor
They serve and sell Kaladi coffee, locally roasted in Denver. Compared to Starbucks, the flavor profile tends to be mellow and balanced—easy to sip and not overly bright or bitter.
Rare decaf espresso find: Kaladi Trieste Caffee Decaffeinated — a whole‑bean, medium‑roast decaf espresso. You don't see that every day.
Note on Mexico Chiapas: Kaladi labels their Mexico Chiapas as a medium roast, but the bag I tried was surprisingly dark—darker than I'd expect from a true medium. The roast level affected the flavor profile, and it didn't quite hit the mark for me. This isn't about Mexico Chiapas beans in general (they can be excellent), but this particular roast from Kaladi was too dark for my taste. I'm passing on this one and sticking with their lighter medium options.
Service That Stands Out
At the Lakewood location, around 9:00 PM on a Saturday, the barista pulled a shot, didn’t like the look of it, and remade it proactively. That kind of care—especially late—speaks volumes. Great service.
Late‑Night Vibe
By 9:30 PM on a Saturday, it’s far from empty: folks working together, solo laptops, different ages, different activities. If you need a place to get things done late, this works.
